ICE STORM 2013

This little guy was one happy kid today

 

it was a "snow" day from school..and work.  Dallas basically shut down

so Daddy had to cut down very heavy branches... and we helped clear them

and snack on ice along the way...

occasionally eating a little bark on accident!

he found his toys frozen into the ground

but made the best of it anyway

 

 

these two actually have been enjoying running around, the crunchy ground... all of it.

 

 

Don't judge... yes, those are jammies. I'm lucky I got him in a coat and boots!

IT'S FREE!!!

 

then I brought out a mallet

just seemed fun

 

(little ice down the shirt) brrrrr

he was in awe of how FROZEN everything was.  he is SO excited for NY... there better be snow! 

It's been very, very dangerous (we lost power for 2 hours) and many lost it for days.  It's bitter cold and Texas just isn't prepared for this stuff. 

 

Never been more thankful for my fireplace, hot food, heater, my warm bed, etc....
