Happy Almost Valentines Day

T and I just spent the evening making his gift bags for his school.  I let him pick out what went in there... so hopefully the kids his age will like them!

A  dinosaur, a glow stick, skittles, a valentine (signed by the little man) and bubbles!!

and when we were at the Dollar Store he begged to get his teacher Ms. Molet this monkey balloon

He found Aunt Connie's gift to him hidden in my car... a Cheetah (hilarious because he calls himself baby cheetah right now), a chocolate sucker and a card

goofball smile

there's my excited boy!!

He freaked and he loved it.

Tomorrow he gets my gift and one from my mom and also another from my dad. Someone is spoiled!!!

Add on all the Valentine's at his party tomorrow and BOOM - success!

Wanted to share an email exchange between his teacher and I:

Me:

Hi there!
Holt is dropping off almost all of the snacks for this week. When do you eat snack? I have little pizzas with heart shaped turkey pepperoni that I'm going to make but I'm trying to see if they will still be warm if I send them in tinfoil in the morning. if not I can just make them and they can eat lukewarm pizza. I was going to drop them on Thurs at the party then in the afternoon they would still be warm (probably)
Anyway - I sent
  • yogurt and cookies in a valentine's
    day cup
  • vanilla pudding with red spoons and a jar of
valentine sprinkles for you to sprinkle in the pudding
  • "I dig you" - shovels of popcorn and M&M's
  • crackers and heart shaped cheese
  • and I'll send the little pizza's in.
Does that all sound ok? Enjoy!!

Wow! The kids will be sooooooooooooo excited to have pizza. I do have a microwave, so it can easily be heated if needed.

Thank you so very much. Very few parents ever try to so anything special for the snack. I know the kids will love it.
Blessings for the day!
Joyce

Me:

oh that is awesome. Then I'll do them for Friday and I'll have Holt drop 15 little pizzas!!
The way I look at life is... Tristan deserves every ounce of love I can give him and I have no clue how long I will be on this earth so I give it my all. They are little PEOPLE that deserve special things. Always bums me out when people go through so much for adult parties and kids they just toss out some pretzels. Not this mommy, love my boy, love kids, love you!!

TWENTY THINGS A MOM SHOULD TEACH HER SON

I read this on Facebook and couldn't agree more.  I love you Nugg

TWENTY THINGS A MOM SHOULD TELL (I changed to teach) HER SON

1. Play a sport.
It will teach you how to win honorably, lose gracefully, respect authority, work with others, manage your time ... and stay out of trouble.
And maybe even throw or catch.

2. You will set the tone for the sexual relationship, so don't take something away from her that you can't give back.

3. Use careful aim when you pee.  Somebody's got to clean that up, you know.

4. Save money when you're young because you're going to need it someday.

5. Allow me to introduce you to the dishwasher, oven, washing machine, iron, vacuum, mop and broom.
Now please go use them.

6. Pray and be a spiritual leader.

7. Don't ever be a bully and don't ever start a fight, but if some idiot clocks you, please defend yourself.

8. Your knowledge and education is something that nobody can take away from you.

9. Treat women kindly.  Forever is a long time to live alone and it's even longer to live with somebody
who hates your guts.

10. Take pride in your appearance.

11. Be strong and tender at the same time.

12. A woman can do everything that you can do.  This includes her having a successful career and you changing diapers at 3 A.M.  Mutual respect is the key to a good relationship.

13. "Yes ma'am" and "yes sir" still go a long way.

14. The reason that they're called "private parts" is because they're "private".  Please do not scratch them in public.

15. Peer pressure is a scary thing.  Be a good leader and others will follow.

16. Bringing her flowers for no reason is always a good idea.

17. It is better to be kind than to be right.

18. A sense of humor goes a long way in the healing process.

19. Please choose your spouse wisely.  My daughter-in-law will be the gatekeeper for me
spending time with you and my grandchildren.

20. Remember to call your mother because I might be missing you.

I love more than....twenty seven six four three...

Every night T and I have a little thing we do.  I tell him

"Man, when I woke up today, I couldn't BELIEVE that I loved you more than I did yesterday!"

"Ya know how much I love YOU Nugg!?"

"How much Mommy!?"

then those big blue eyes just wait....

I say something along the lines of:

"Twenty trillion, million, billion, past all the planets and the stars... up to heaven...and back"

He says "WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOA.... Know how much I LOVE YOU Mommy!?"

I look at him with great expectation... "HOW MUCH NUGG!?"

"Twenty seven six four three, (looking around the room) curtains, bed, books, puppy, lamp, wall, toothbrush, Simba, floor ...and back!"

I am then SHOCKED at this MASSIVE amount of love that my little four year old has mustered and he is thrilled with the look of joy spread across my face.

I mean ... have YOU ever been loved "Twenty seven six four three, (looking around the room) curtains, bed, books, puppy, lamp, wall, toothbrush, Simba, floor ...and back?".......

Then... we hug, I give him Eskimo kisses, butterfly kisses and my own made up elephant kisses and we say goodnight.

THOSE are the moments worth living for.

Busy Day - much fun!

Tristan FINALLY reaches the peddles on his Big Wheel!

and he loves it!

Today I also bought him soccer cleats (he is SO excited)
and of course I had to get him a bag to carry his gear in

and his new water bottle

he wanted to wear it everywhere.

He calls me "COACH" whenever a soccer ball is in site, it's SO cute. We ran drills, stretched, worked on heading and trapping the ball. My heart sang!!

Ball was a tad flat....

he and daddy fixed it!

then it was 'nocular time

WALL-E

(hahahahaha)

then we played with his remote control truck

and Simba did NOT like it

at all

got the boys all crazy!

(this truck ad brought to you by Ebby Halliday)

hahahahaha - crackin' myself up today

Before I collapsed I needed to make snacks for T's class this week

First up - crackers and heart shaped cheese!

then, "I Dig You" - shovels with popcorn and M&M's

Mini vanilla wafers and yogurt in valentine cups!

then pudding with sprinkles!!

Lastly I'll be making bagels into pizzas with heart shaped pepperoni... can't make those until Friday though.

I just LOVE doing special stuff for T and his friends!  LOVED this weekend full of friends and fun.

We are blessed!!

Best Agent EVER!!

Tristan,

You should be very proud of Daddy... a friend of ours was fighting to keep his daughter and also having his divorce decree upheld... and Daddy gave a lot of time and energy to prove his case. They won!!!

John and his wife Leslie took us out to celebrate and T partied with Aunt Connie!

Clean up time

we stayed out really late... thankfully Connie loves T as much as she does

Thanks for a great time Bartletts and what a celebration it was!!!
Daddy is the best real estate agent EVER!

Fondue Fun

We invited the neighbors over for fondue...

Jodi was schooled one or two times in CUBED food...not slices. LOL

Then I told her I wanted her pic with the additional apps we bought...

and she fell off the counter.  HAHAHAHA

Do over... ta da!

Jodi and Cooper

T totally photo bombed!!

Coop and T man

Time to start the chocolate fondue!

The boys were watching Shrek and dining in the play room

YUMMY CHEESE FONDUE

the bar was beginning to get filled with drinks

and our fish who rarely see people... went into hiding!

and we were off!

Jodi and Ashley

Dean...

GG (Cooper's Great Gram) was celebrating her birthday so we made the most of it!

Man, she had the best stories, she's one of 11 kids!!!

then (of course) the boys begged to swim!

and we let them (what it actually looked like with no flash)

Holt and Lance enjoyed cake poolside

and then the boys... said GAME ON!

these two were sprayed with cold water over and over and over...

and when I came out to break it up... they soaked ME!

Other than falling asleep on the floor at 11pm (with everyone still there)

I'd say it was a hit!  We love our neighbors!!!
